Tio Chichi's B-day

"Ok, we got to what my parents call home and everything has changed; night has become day, there are a lot of people around, everybody gives lots of attention... too many changes, but I think I can handle this" says Sofia.
Here we are with the Padrinos, Graciela, Panty, my parents and Tio Chichi at his place on his B-day.

Oh, we get to blow a little candle!

Ok Tio Chichi... here you go again...

I finally get to meet my Godparents (Mis Padrinos)

I do not exactly what happend, but I saw my parents enthusiastically putting things in big boxes that they call suitcases... I even saw some of my toys and clothing going inside them! Then Mama and Papa explained something about a plane and going 'home'... After several hours on what they call a plane we were in a different place where day became night...
I've seen my Padrinos in a picture but all of the sudden there they were kissing me and giving me so much attention! It was so nice to finally meet them.

We've tried everything!

In our desperation to feed Sofia, we tried everything: all kinds of spoons, all kinds of vegetables, including parsnips and butternut squash (I never heard of them before, after all, I am an animal from the tropics where those are unknown) One evening we discovered that she likes using the fork, forget about those soft spoons, so here we are feeding her with one of our forks. For those of you who are not parents yet, do not judge us, you might use this technique one day!

Ok, lets try the back of the fork now, see if it tastes any better...

Thank you for feeding me Papa, can I show my appretiation with a kiss and a hug?

Ok guys (says Sofia) I am not that bad, at least I drink well from the cup!

Weaning Sofia

As you can notice, we have slow down a bit and in November and this part of December we have not gone to that many places , that is because we've been concentrating in a very difficult task: feeding Sofia.
We started at six months and for two weeks we thought our daughter had become an oyster, a sealed mouth was all that we got; once in a while we managed to get a tiny spoon into her mouth, but that was it. Then she quickly learned how to push our feeding hands away... oh well, I will not describe the whole process, it is over now, she is eating quite well, but we wanted to share these photos with you. Isn't it a miracle that I (Carolina, the clean freak) have not gone completly mad... I have to say that my blood pressure is way higher and I had been very close to a heart attack.
One thing though, I am saving these photos and I plan to show them at Sofia's wedding!

Look, what a profile!!!!!!!!!!! Food everywhere!
