Marinita's visit part II

Here we are, all drinking tea at Basildon, we joked and pointed our fingers up! But seriously, we love cream tea!

Marinita's visit

This is my cousin Marinita, we had not seen each other for almost 12 years! She came to visit Europe and we were lucky that she stayed with us for a few days. We visited a few places around our home and Sofia and her enjoy each other very much!

Sofia loves the sling!

Here we are! together again after so long!

This is Basildon, the house were part of the movie Pride and Prejudice was filmed! We both like Jane Austin, so it was a must in our itinerary!

Sleeping... and growing

This is how Sofia likes to sleep, with her arms wide open fearful of nothing... so peaceful!

But she is growing fast and therefore she had to say good bye to the craddle... it was just getting too small for her. Now she sleeps in a big cot!

Our 'amiguitos', our very good friends

These are Emilio, Marie-Aimee and Federica, our very good friends that we met at Church in October last year. Many of you have heard us talk about them, so we decided to introduce them to you. Federica is only 18 days older than Sofia, so she is 'the big sister'. We really enjoy spending time with them, too bad they are going to move far, far away soon. However, we are happy for them, but we are going to miss them so much. They are also a tri-lingual family.

Polesden Lacey II

We took some time to enjoy the beautiful flowers in the gardens.

Beautiful, eh? (the eh is just to prove our nationality, haha)

A walk in the extensive grounds of this property located in Surrey (but the English one)

Yes, Chris would like to say: "We've recently moved and here I am leaving my property to go for a walk in my private grounds..." But I still would say: "The house is beautiuful, but there is much to clean!" Ha, ha!

Polesden Lacey

This is the main entrance to this manssion with opulent interiors. King George VI and Queen Elizabeth spent part of their honeymoon here in 1923.

A view of the house from the walled gardens.
