Introduction to the Sand 101

As many of you read in our blog about a year ago, we tried introducing sand to Sofia in northern Spain. At that time she failed the course, there was no way she would walk on the sand or even touch it. Now, to help her we've got a sand box at home and we decided to take her to one of the local beaches. See how in the first picture she refuses to walk on the sand... then she refuses to touch it with her hands. But, by the end of our time at the beach she MADE PROGRESS and walked on the sand and played happily with it. Papa and Sofia built a sand castle and we had a lot of fun.

When Sofia goes to bed... Margarita comes to the picture. Salud! we love having friends over.

Mama is proud of her flowers

They might seem ordinary to you, but my Mama is so excited about her flowers. She had never done any gardening in her life, so the fact that the flowers she planted took is a big event! Mama loves having herbs and flowers and is so excited that she plans to do more gardening next year. At the moment she's at war with the weeds.

My cousins are fun!

Every Friday I look forward to my cousins' visit.

































We even watch a bit of TV when it gets too hot outside.
