Good news!

We are going back home!!!!!!! We do not have an exact date yet, but we know for sure that it will be in mid November of this year. The other good news is that Carolina's mother is coming for a visit.

Now that the time to say good bye to England is approaching we can not avoid having many mixed feelings. We are extremely happy to go back to our home, to go on with our life surrounded by family members and friends; at the same time we feel sad to leave behind the life we had here for over two years. We met wonderful people who made our stay in England so much more fun and pleasant. We learned to love this country and the many great things it offers. We lived wonderful experiences here; some may be the most extraordinary moments of our life so far as a couple and family: the birth of our first child, her first year and a half of life, her first steps, etc. etc. We have summarized in the following list a few things that we are going to miss and some others that we can't wait for.

Things we will miss:

  1. Friends we made here, especially the baby Thursday group and the Club de Peques (Spanish group on Fridays)
  2. Marks & Spencer and all their great products
  3. Father Golding's homilies (sorry Father that you are third on the list, but we hear your great homilies only on Sundays and we go to M&S more often)
  4. Stilton, Double Gloucester and Red Leicester
  5. National Trust Properties
  6. Roundabouts
  7. Museums and Historic sites everywhere
  8. Royal Mail deliveries on Saturday
  9. 240 Volts
  10. Pedestrianize streets in central cities and towns
  11. Proximity to many other interesting countries (England has much better neighbours)

Things we look forward to:

  1. Family and friends
  2. The mountains, waterfalls, and national parks: real wilderness
  3. Sushi, affordable and great quality (We can't wait)
  4. Hot air dryer, hot air dryer, hot air dryer (am I clear?)
  5. Soft water (cleaning should be much easier)
  6. Spacious fridge and freezer
  7. No more extreme health and safety rules
  8. Wide sidewalks and streets

Wow, that's so exciting! Hope that BC isn't as rainy when you get there as England was this summer.
